A guided program for school business leaders to reduce their school’s environmental impact and build resilience through best business practice.

We currently have 14 schools undertaking the program in 2025.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

MSYB – supports school business managers and other school leaders, as they guide change through sustainable business management.

AIMS – help you and your school develop a sustainability action plan, reduce your school’s environmental impact, and create a school sustainability report

THE PROGRAM – initial introductory on-line meeting, one-day intensive workshop, one-on-one coaching, and supported by a range of resources, checklists, and templates – resources available on the online LfS Learning Academy

LEARNING OUTCOMES

WHY? A greater understanding of the rationale behind school sustainability action (environmental urgency, responsible school governance, benefits and opportunities)

WHAT? Develop your leadership capabilities to prepare a business case for sustainability actions, lead a whole school approach using a unique MSYB Sustainability Action Framework, and develop a school sustainability action plan and a sustainability report

HOW? Tools and strategies to help you lead and engage the whole school community, build a collaborative sustainability team, track key environmental data, align your school plans with ResourceSmart Schools, and promote your school’s sustainability success
